Eland
Lodge Equestrian is based in the heart of the National Forest
near Draycott in the Clay and is set in over one hundred acres
of breathtaking Staffordshire countryside. This is classic
horse country with some of the most beautiful hacking
routes in the country on our doorstep. Our ambition is
to provide the very best equine facility within these natural
advantages to give the horse enthusiast an all round experience
not available anywhere else.
The
site’s facilities include a 60 acre cross
country course to Open standard, including a purpose built
water complex, a step/slope complex, ditches, bridges and
several novelty fences. The Cross Country Course is complemented
by the 80 x 50mtr floodlit ménage
allowing all aspects of equine competition to be catered for
as well as all weather / evening coaching to ensure that personal
progress is not restricted by either the time of year or the
weather.
To
get the very best from the site we are installing livery
accommodation for 24 horses; those horses can be schooled
by our resident trainers to ensure that every horse under
our care achieves its true potential in whatever discipline
you choose. The length of stay depends on the owner and of
course availability, but all aspects can be accommodated from
long term residencies to a relatively short period of intensive
schooling to assist in the horse’s performance in a
particular area or discipline. We can even look after horses
while their owners are away on holiday (subject to stable
availability).
Our
retail store and café
are also well worth a visit and at well over three thousand
square feet it's definitely not “a little tack shop”.
Supplying all aspects of tack and horse gear, we also carry
a large selection of riding wear both casual and formal, in
addition to which we carry a large selection of country and
leisure clothing. The list of brands carried includes Pikeur,
Caldene, Toggi, Euro-star, Musto, Joules, Aigle, GG, Barbour,
Fal, Horsewear, LeChameau and many others.
Our strategy is very simple: “We will give the very
best quality in whatever we provide whether that be our livery
offer, leisure clothing, a cup of coffee or a cross-country
riding experience and all at a price that represents real
value for money”.
